【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverslaboratorymeasurementofbothfluxandhydraulicconductivity(alsoreferredtoascoefficientofpermeability)ofgeosyntheticclayliner(GCL)specimenspermeatedwithchemicalsolutionsandleachatesutilizingaflexiblewallpermeameter.Fortestmeasurementofindexhydraulicpropertiesofgeosyntheticclayliners,refertoTestMethodD5887.1.2ThistestmethodmaybeutilizedwithGCLspecimensthathaveahydraulicconductivitylessthanorequalto110-5m/s(110-3cm/s).1.3ThistestmethodisapplicabletoGCLproductshavinggeotextilebacking(s).ItmaynotbeapplicabletoGCLproductswithgeomembranebacking(s).1.4Thistestmethodprovidesmeasurementsoffluxandhydraulicconductivityunderaprescribedsetofconditions,asanindextest,thatcanbeusedformanufacturingqualitycontrol.Thefluxandhydraulicconductivityvaluesdeterminedusingthistestmethodundertheprescribedsetofconditionsisnotconsideredtoberepresentativeofthein-serviceconditionsofGCLs.However,thetestmethodallowstherequestertoestablishasetoftestconditions;thus,thetestmethodalsomaybeusedtocheckperformanceorconformance,orboth.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard,unlessotherunitsarespecificallygiven.BytraditioninU.S.practice,hydraulicconductivityisreportedincentimeterspersecond,althoughthecommonSIunitsforhydraulicconductivityaremeterspersecond.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
